Sterling Silver jewellery is made from 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper.

To keep your silver jewellery looking as new it will require regular cleaning, we recommend that you use a quality anti-tarnishing silver polishing cloth, which can be purchased from our checkout.

Sterling Silver does tarnish naturally over time due to exposure to oxygen in the air, tarnish can be removed easily by using washing up liquid, warm water and a soft bristle brush. After careful brushing simply rinse with luke warm water and allow to dry.

Silver jewellery with gemstones…

Extra care must be taken when cleaning your silver jewellery if it contains gemstones, as some stones need special cleaning requirements.

To restore your gemstones lustre and sparkle use a soft bristle brush and clean the back of the stone as well as the top as this is where most of the dirt will gather. This will then allow the light to pass through the stone again.

Soft and porous stones such as Coral, Pearls, Turquoise and Opal should not be immersed in water. To clean jewellery that contains porous stones simply use a damp cloth.

To maintain your jewellery’s natural beauty always avoid contact with chemicals that can be found in perfume, hairspray and deodorant. We strongly advise that you remove your jewellery when bathing and playing sports.

When jewellery is not being worn we recommend that it is stored in the box provided.
